Kurtinig an der Weinstraße / Cortina s. Strada del Vino

Cortina sulla Strada del Vino/Kurtinig is located on the South Tyrolean Wine Road between Magrè/Magreid and Salorno/Salurn. The small village in the southern part of South Tyrol with its mild Mediterranean climate is known for viticulture. The smallest village in the valley comprises many wineries and even a sparkling wine producer. Here you can also hike and mountain bike almost all year round.

Discover Bolzano and environs

In Cortina sulla Strada del Vino/Kurtinig you can take long, pleasant walks among green meadows, vineyards and apple trees. In spring, the scenery is particularly beautiful when the entire valley suddenly blooms. A popular hiking destination in the surroundings is the Favogna/Fennberg high plateau, where you can go hiking or climbing. Lake Caldaro is a popular destination especially in summer, when temperatures rise and you can cool off in its cool water.

Due to the mild climate, winter sports are more recommended in the surrounding mountains. Ski resorts such as the Corno del Renon, Jochgrimm or Reinswald can be reached in a short time by car or public transport.

Our tip:

When it is cold enough in winter and the lakes are covered by a thick layer of ice, Lake Caldaro turns into a huge natural ice rink. An unforgettable event for the whole family.
