Skiholiday in South Tyrol

A snow-covered winter landscape, modern lifts, perfectly groomed slopes, challenging snowparks and funslopes, numerous ski rental services, qualified ski schools to learn skiing and ski kindergartens as well as warm hospitality - all this and much more is waiting for passionate skiers and snowboarders in South Tyrol.

During an action-packed ski day, rustic mountain huts with typical South Tyrolean dishes and warm drinks provide well-earned refreshment. If you still have enough energy after a day on the slopes, you can round off the day with Après-ski in one of the many restaurants in the ski areas.

Skiing areas in South Tyrol

South Tyrol's skiing areas are many and varied and include small, manageable but also large skiing areas, including family skiing areas for a skiing holiday with children as well as glacier skiing areas and slopes for beginners and professionals alike.

"Dolomiti Superski" and "Ortler Skiarena", the names of South Tyrol's largest ski areas, together comprise 28 ski resorts and 1,600 kilometres of slopes of all difficulty levels. And it gets even better: with only one single ski pass you can ski in all ski resorts of a ski area (with the "My Dolomiti Skicard" you can ski in all ski resorts of the "Dolomiti Superski" ski area and with the "Ortler Skiarena Skipass" you can ski in all ski resorts of the "Ortler Skiarena" ski area)!

Moreover, there are also the "Ski Resort Tauferer Ahrntal" and the "Ski Center Eisacktaler Wipptal" with five ski resorts altogether in South Tyrol.

Ski World Cup in Val Gardena/Gröden and Alta Badia

Every year in December, four World Cup ski races are organised in the South Tyrolean holiday regions of Val Gardena/Gröden and Alta Badia. Thrills and tension captivate every spectator and create a unique atmosphere on site. If you feel like skiing while watching, you can dare to throw yourself down the famous black slopes.

Skiing and snowboarding all year round

In South Tyrol, winter sports lovers can also practice their sports outside the winter season, so skiing and snowboarding in Val Senales/Schnalstal and in Solda/Sulden are also possible in spring and autumn and on the Stilfser Joch even in summer.
