Wengen / La Valle

La Val - Wengen, located in the middle of the Dolomites, is part of the Alta Badia holiday region. The sun-drenched valley lies at Kreuzkofel and is particularly popular for all those who are looking for peace and natural authenticity.

In summer La Val-Wengen has something to offer for everyone: beautiful alpine farms that can be visited with children during a family holiday in South Tyrol, as well as impressive mountain peaks in the Dolomites for more demanding hikers and mountaineers.

In winter the fun on the slopes is not missing out: La Val-Wengen lies in the middle of the two large skiing areas Plan de Corones/Kronplatz and Alta Badia and is therefore the ideal starting point for skiers and snowboarders. In winter you can also go cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the surroundings of Wengen.

Customs and Traditions

Ladin dances, handicrafts, parades and religious events. Ladin customs are revived in Wengen. Particularly the art of weaving is widespread, looking back on centuries of tradition.

There are many farms and rustic alpine huts nearby to explore, all surrounded by untouched nature. Furthermore, Wengen is considered a very music-loving village, with several choirs and folklore groups.
